Under close supervision of the designated supervisor, a Military Intern is responsible for observing corporate policies and procedures to acquire knowledge and build skills while working with a specific department, division, or on a special project. In addition, Interns have the opportunity to build their professional network, engage with other Fulton Bank Interns, and connect with other service members and employees through our Employee Resource Group (ERG).

  • Work Location & Details:
    • Hybrid: includes remote work and in-person attendance at our office(s) in the Lancaster, PA area, including the Administrative Services Center (1695 State Street East Petersburg, PA) and Corporate Headquarters (1 Penn Square Lancaster, PA).
    • Specific in-office days will be communicated by the supervisor.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Preferred Work Hours 8:00am-5:00pm.
    • We will adjust work hours as needed to accommodate academic class schedule.

Additional Details:

  • This role is part of a temporary internship program that requires residence within Fulton Bank's footprint (PA, NJ, DC, DE, MD or VA).
  • Relocation package/support is not offered for this position.
  • Military Internship assignments will not exceed six (6) months in duration.

As a condition of employment, individuals must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for a work visa by Fulton Financial Corporation currently or in the future.



Responsibilities

  • Activities and responsibilities vary by assignment.
  • Performs assigned duties in designated department to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance.
  • Reports on progress in internship program and provides feedback about program to manager and Talent Acquisition team.
  • Management feedback must indicate satisfactory progress to remain in Military Internship Program.
  • Duration of the program may vary, but will not exceed six (6) months in duration.
  • A Military Intern may also participate in career training/education as needed.

Scope of Work:

The ideal IT Quality Assurance (QA) Intern demonstrates strong customer service and communication skills, the ability to pick up technical skills/tasks quickly, attention to detail, high pattern recognition, a sense of urgency, and is viewed as a 'go-getter- operating with enthusiasm and excitement for the role. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing hands-on learning opportunities working alongside seasoned QA testers, on various projects and initiatives as assigned, including but not limited to: functional testing, Supporting User Acceptance Testing, providing QA automation support and day to day QA functions.
  • Working with the QA Manual and QA automation testing teams by supporting testing services in QC ALM, Azure Dev ops (ADO), Ranorex and Copado Robotic Testing Tools.
  • Help in writing/converting Test Cases and Scripts, Test Executions and Reporting defects and maintaining defect life cycle .
  • Help providing training to the end users, investigate tickets and document in Remedyforce.
  • Help providing training with end users, investigate user stories and document in Azure DevOps


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Must be a service veteran with honorable discharge or an active service member currently on reserve and/or available to meet all employment requirements. Documentation will be required upon offer.
  • Experience requirements will align to the needs of the assigned department, however ideal candidate will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a general technical background, is considered to be a team player but also works well independently, demonstrates a positive outlook, and can effectively multitask/handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Looking for a self-starter with demonstrated initiative looking to advance in their career, proven leadership abilities, and strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Specific course of study not required- however Information Technology, Information Systems, or other technology majors/knowledge is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, QC ALM/QA testing tool, Ranorex/Copado Automation Tools, Azure DevOps and/or SharePoint.
  • Formal training will be provided.
  • Familiarity and/or course work focusing some programming languages (C#, Java, Python, etc.).
  • Desire to excel in IT field is strongly preferred.

This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager. Each employee of the Organization, regardless of position, is accountable for reading, understanding and acting on the contents of all Company-assigned and/or job related Compliance Programs, regulations and policies and procedures, as well as ensure that all Compliance Training assignments are completed by established due dates. This includes but is not limited to, understanding and identifying compliance risks impacting their department(s), ensuring compliance with applicable laws or regulations, and escalating compliance risks to the appropriate level of management.



Pay Transparency

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges on all job postings regardless of state. We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry.

The hourly rate for this temporary position is $20.
