Job Summary

The Laboratory Equipment Technician supports the receiving, tracking, sorting, and inspection of equipment used by patients or explanted from patients for failure analysis. Working under supervision in a biohazard laboratory environment, this role performs visual inspections, sorting, accurate data entry, and labeling while adhering to strict quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The technician must follow established procedures and maintain compliance with all applicable safety guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive, track, sort, and process equipment used or explanted from patients
• Perform visual inspections and document findings accurately
• Complete data entry, labeling, and documentation in accordance with established standards
• Follow written procedures and verbal instructions to ensure consistency and compliance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Handle and move equipment and boxes as required
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements for biohazard laboratory environments

Job Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and labeling
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
• Effective communication skills for working with team members and support staff
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications
• Ability to follow written procedures and verbal directions
• Comfortable working in a biohazard laboratory environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Potential to convert to full time for the right candidate (user review recommended)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

• Prior laboratory, warehouse, or technical support experience preferred (user review recommended)
