Induction Hardener

Position Summary: Set up and operate induction hardener for hardening raceways and gears on various sizes of bearing rings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Through monitoring and measurement assure products meet customer expectations
• Populate any quality related documentation necessary
• Assure manfuacturing and quality tools / materials are in calibration
• Load, unload and locate ring on the hardener with crane, using clamps, blocks, shims and other holding devices
• Position and locate the specified inductor to the work piece. Set tooling, speeds and feeds
• Obtain inspection and approval of set-up and / or first piece.
• Detect and report defective material, set up or operating difficulties
• Mag particle or dye penetrant check any features hardened
• Maintain quench condition / concentration and report all necessary quality checks - employ, clean, refill as required
• Maintain eqipument and work area in clean and orderly condition

Skills, Abilities and Education:

• Effective communication and active listening skills required
• Previous machining experience and practices required
• Blueprint and GD&T knowledge is required
• High School Diploma or GED
