Security Officer - Data Center Screener - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Data Center Screener - Full Time in New Braunfels, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will welcome visitors, screen entries, check credentials, support access control, and communicate clearly with employees and guests. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols of screening points and nearby areas, and document security-related concerns to help reduce incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and/or telecom location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and vendors at entry points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing and/or checking badges, and conducting security-related screening of bags and belongings as required by site policy.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting details, and coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, work areas, and perimeter to help to identify unusual conditions, unauthorized access attempts, and/or hazards, and report findings per post orders.
• Complete shift logs and incident reports, monitor cameras and/or alarms when assigned, and communicate clearly with supervisors and site personnel to support day-to-day operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
