Location: Portage, WI fully onsite Pay range: $35/hr.-$50/hr. depending on experience Schedule: M-F 7:30am-4:30pm Duration: 6 months Why This Role Is Different Your work directly supports operational leadership and site performance You'll have hands-on ownership of cost accounting, standard costs, and variance analysis You'll work in a data-rich manufacturing environment with modern ERP and analytics tools You'll be part of a company that values continuous improvement, safety, and quality Your insights won't sit in spreadsheets - they'll drive decisions What You'll Be Doing Own and support cost accounting activities, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and month-end close Partner with operations to analyze manufacturing performance, identify trends, and uncover opportunities Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with accurate, data-driven analysis Build and deliver clear financial reports and presentations for site and divisional leadership Collaborate with the Site Controller and cross-functional teams on special projects and continuous improvement initiatives Work with large, complex data sets to turn numbers into actionable insight Uphold high standards for data integrity, safety, quality, and compliance What We're Looking For Experience working in a manufacturing environment (this is essential) 2+ years in cost accounting, financial analysis, or financial reporting Strong Excel skills and comfort working with detailed financial data Experience working in or alongside ERP manufacturing systems Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to both finance and non-finance partners A detail-oriented mindset with curiosity about how things are made and how they can be improved What Will Help You Stand Out Hands-on experience with standard costs, variance analysis, and forecasting Exposure to Power BI, SQL, or advanced reporting tools Familiarity with manufacturing workflows, product structures, or routings Confidence presenting insights and recommendations to leadership A proactive mindset - you look for answers, not just errors The Environment You'll be part of a large, stable, global manufacturer with a strong commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and long-term growth.
