Financial Analyst - Manufacturing Operations

This role sits at the intersection of operations and finance, partnering closely with site leadership to translate complex data into clear insights that improve efficiency, control costs, and support sustainable growth.

Location: Portage, WI fully onsite

Pay range: $35/hr.-$50/hr. depending on experience

Schedule: M-F 7:30am-4:30pm

Duration: 6 months

What You'll Be Doing


  • Own and support cost accounting activities, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and month-end close



  • Partner with operations to analyze manufacturing performance, identify trends, and uncover opportunities



  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with accurate, data-driven analysis



  • Build and deliver clear financial reports and presentations for site and divisional leadership



  • Collaborate with the Site Controller and cross-functional teams on special projects and continuous improvement initiatives



  • Work with large, complex data sets to turn numbers into actionable insight



  • Uphold high standards for data integrity, safety, quality, and compliance




What We're Looking For


  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment (this is essential)



  • 2+ years in cost accounting, financial analysis, or financial reporting



  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with detailed financial data



  • Experience working in or alongside ERP manufacturing systems



  • Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to both finance and non-finance partners



  • A detail-oriented mindset with curiosity about how things are made and how they can be improved




What Will Help You Stand Out


  • Hands-on experience with standard costs, variance analysis, and forecasting



  • Exposure to Power BI, SQL, or advanced reporting tools



  • Familiarity with manufacturing workflows, product structures, or routings



  • Confidence presenting insights and recommendations to leadership



  • A proactive mindset - you look for answers, not just errors
