Job Overview:

RWJBH is seeking a Respiratory Equipment Tech for our New Brunswick campus. This is a part-time, evening position (20 hours/week) with the expectation to work every other weekend with flexible evening hours.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma
• Previous healthcare related experience, preferred (EMT, current Respiratory student)

Essential Functions:

• Attends all mandatory in-services.
• Maintain cylinder rooms neat and orderly.
• Completes all annual competencies by assigned due date.
• Informs Department Leadership of any issues or problems.
• Complete and maintain daily records of all oxygen cylinder exchanges.
• Makes daily rounds to exchange oxygen and other cylinders in patient care areas.
• Maintain DOHSS, CMS, TJC regulations regarding the storage of oxygen and other compressed gas cylinders.
• Assist Department Leadership with inventory, ordering and maintaining cylinders and related equipment and supplies for the Respiratory Therapy Department.
• Assist with inspection preparation and special projects as assigned.
