Job Summary

The Data Integration Specialist is a key technical expert responsible for the hands-on execution of data migrations. This role ensures that data from legacy systems is accurately, efficiently, and securely migrated into the Rentokil Terminix standard application suite (e.g., PestPac/WorkWave). The Specialist collaborates closely with Functional Leads to elicit, document, and validate data mapping and transformation rules. They serve as the primary technical liaison with 3rd-party vendors, execute data reconciliation strategies, and resolve complex data issues identified during testing. This role is critical to mitigating financial and operational risk, upholding data governance standards, and contributing to the development of a scalable, repeatable M&A integration playbook

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with functional integration leads and business SMEs to elicit, review, and document data requirements, ensuring changes are formalized.

  • Owns and maintains the "rules and requirements" document, ensuring it serves as the single source of truth for all data mapping and transformation logic.

  • Works with functional teams to ensure data mapping documents are completed accurately and on time.

  • Translates complex business requirements into clear, technical specifications for the 3rd party CRM vendor (WorkWave).

  • Defines, documents, and executes the data reconciliation strategy throughout the project lifecycle to ensure data integrity.

  • Acts as the lead technical investigator for data-related issues reported during UAT and warranty/hypercare phases, researching root causes and proposing viable solutions.

  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the PestPac (WorkWave CRM) application from a data integration and structure perspective.

  • Leads the discovery process for data migrations, asking critical questions to identify unique system configurations or data risks.

  • Manages the end-to-end credit card migration process, including mapping files and coordinating with payment processors (e.g., WorldPay) and vendors.

  • Escalates data-related risks (e.g., quality, timelines, scope) to the Data Integration Manager and provides recommendations for mitigation.

Candidate Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business, or related field OR equivalent years of experience. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of applicable professional experience for each year of college requested.

Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in a technical data-focused role (e.g., Data Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, ETL Developer).

  • Expertise in using SQL and advanced Excel to profile and reconcile complex datasets, with previous experience querying Snowflake tables considered a significant plus.

  • Proven experience with data migration projects, including data mapping, transformation, and validation.

  • Experience eliciting and documenting complex business and technical requirements.

  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems (e.g., PestPac, Salesforce) and understanding of relational data models.

  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors on technical deliverables.

  • Prior experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) projects is highly preferred.

  • Experience in data reconciliation and data quality assurance processes.

Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical and Detail-Oriented: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy.

  • Problem-Solver: Proactive in identifying, researching, and resolving complex data issues.

  • Structured and Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain detailed documentation, and follow established governance processes.

  • Strong Communicator: Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both business stakeholders and technical vendors, verbally and in writing.

  • Collaborative: Works effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve common goals.

  • Intellectual Curiosity and Business Acumen: A desire to understand how the business operates and how data supports its functions.

  • Resilience: Ability to be optimistic and persistent in the face of challenging projects and tight deadlines.
