Job Description




As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Part-Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong presence and clear communication. You will assist tenants, visitors, and staff with customer-focused service while documenting observations and responding to concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or property management by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate timely updates to property management and Allied Universal leadership as required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and tenant areas for unusual activity, verify credentials when required, and direct visitors and/or deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and maintenance concerns, and report hazards and/or suspicious conditions through the appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
