General Function:

We are seeking an experienced trade compliance team member to support our international exports and grow to support imports and the whole compliance team and process.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Manage all international outbound shipping activities in support of operations, including but not limited to security, compliance, negotiating rate contracts with freight carriers, claims, returns, bill coding, audits, and invoicing.
  • Review export documentation before releasing to the warehouse.
  • Use the ACE portal to submit export declarations and run reports.
  • Verify export licensing requirements and ensure AES filings are completed accurately and timely.
  • Communicate with freight forwarders regarding import and export shipments.
  • Provide guidance and training to team on trade compliance.
  • Support team in preparing Broker forwarding paperwork for all international shipments including custom documents and customer requirements.
  • Perform restricted party screening on customers and vendors.
  • Prepare manual commercial invoices when necessary.
  • Submit export license applications.
  • Scanning and filing documents for recordkeeping.
  • Support and backup import compliance employees.
  • Interact with all other departments regarding trade compliance topics.
  • Develop and conduct educational training for staff.
  • Work cooperatively with other Satisloh entities for global trade compliance.
  • Support trade departments at our domestic sister companies.
  • Stay informed of changes in trade policy.
  • Update and maintain procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 2 years in a trade compliance role
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Experience classifying items with HTS-US, Schedule B, and ECCN codes
  • Experience with EPA and FDA reporting requirements
  • Experience using the ACE portal
  • Strong understanding of Incoterms
  • Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Successfully passed the CBLE exam
