As a Security Officer - Factory Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet and assist employees and visitors, communicate clearly, and document observations while supporting site procedures. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and common spaces to help identify suspicious activity, unsecured doors, and unusual conditions.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other systems when assigned, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization for employees, contractors, and delivery drivers, and maintaining visitor, vehicle, and key logs per site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate security-related information during shift briefings and passdowns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
