Build What's Next at Interstates
Interstates is looking for a Vice President of Strategic Initiatives to lead some of our most critical growth opportunities and enterprise wide initiatives. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives in complex, ambiguous environments and has a track record of turning bold ideas into durable, scalable results.
You'll operate at the intersection of strategy, execution, and change leadership-building new offers, launching enterprise programs, and guiding them from early concept through stabilization and successful transition to long term owners. What You'll Do:

Drive New Growth Offers
* Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new strategic offers aligned with Interstates' long term growth strategy.
* Develop and lead comprehensive business cases, including: Market opportunity and client expectations;Differentiated value propositions;Revenue, margin, and investment requirements;Delivery readiness, scalability, and risk
* Guide offers from concept to market ready execution with a focus on profitability, consistency, and repeatability.

Build Execution Capability
* Partner closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Finance to create the infrastructure required to deliver and sell new offers.
* Establish delivery models, processes, tools, and performance metrics that scale.
* Lead pilots and early client engagements to validate and refine offers before full rollout.

Lead Enterprise Level Strategic Initiatives
* Own high priority, cross functional initiatives that require focused leadership and executive visibility.
* Translate strategic intent into actionable plans with clear milestones, governance, and outcomes.
* Examples may include: Launching and operationalizing enterprise safety or quality programs;Leading major process transformations;Standing up new capabilities or operating models

Launch, Stabilize, and Transition
* Create the foundation for success by defining: Vision and success criteria;Governance and decision making frameworks;Operating cadence, metrics, and reporting
* Drive initiatives through launch and early adoption.
* Prepare initiatives for a clean transition by documenting processes, building leadership readiness, and handing off to permanent owners once stable.

Influence, Coach, and Lead Change
* Coach and mentor offer owners and cross functional leaders.
* Clarify ownership, success measures, and accountability.
* Lead change efforts so teams can understand, deliver, promote, and integrate new ways of working.
* Influence across the organization without direct authority, aligning senior leaders around shared outcomes.

What You Bring:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field required; Master's degree or MBA preferred (or equivalent senior leadership experience).
* 10+ years of progressive senior leadership experience.
* Proven success translating strategy into executable offers and enterprise initiatives.
* Experience leading large, cross functional programs from concept through launch, stabilization, and transition.
* Strong ability to influence without authority and align leaders across functions.
* Demonstrated change leadership-embedding new capabilities into existing operations.
* Familiarity with safety, quality, or operational excellence programs is a plus.

Location & Travel: This position can be based out of either our Sioux Center, IA, Sioux Falls, SD, or Omaha, NE Offices.Travel will be required and will vary according to business requirements. Up to 40% may be expected.

Compensation: The base pay range for this position is $175 - 225K + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility. The range posted for this role represents a range that Interstates, in good faith, believes it is willing to pay at the time of this posting. The pay is determined by job related skills, training, education, and experience.
