Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $116,534 - $154,438.38. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Manager - Digital Marketing Technology!

The Manager-Digital Marketing Technology leads the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of S&C's digital brand presence through the company website, email marketing, and digital campaigns. This position serves as the technical lead within the department and will be critical to elevating the team's role as a consultative partner to the business. It requires strong strategic thinking, technical expertise in digital platforms, project management for complex initiatives, and excellent communication and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have proven, hands-on technical experience and be interested in the opportunity to set a vision and drive transformative impact. The Manager-Digital Marketing Technology reports to the Senior Manager-Digital Experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Leadership

  • Create a vision for digital customer experience, including architecting assets and touchpoints across user journeys.
  • Lead the development and execution of S&C's digital experience strategy, with a focus on website performance, user experience, and email marketing.
  • Act as a consultative partner to stakeholders, blending a marketer's mindset with hands-on technical expertise.
  • Manage a team to achieve department goals, ensure quality of work, and expand technical capabilities.

Program Management

  • Own and operationalize strategic initiatives, translating vision into scalable, repeatable programs through hands-on execution and cross-functional leadership.
  • Serve as the technical lead responsible for rolling out multi-year initiatives that require cross-department collaboration and expert project management.
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts to measure channel performance and drive improvements.
  • Determine budget requirements and manage spending and forecasting.

Website Redesign & Advancement

  • Strategize and oversee the planning and execution of website refreshes, including content updates, design enhancements, and platform upgrades.
  • Define and implement a comprehensive web journey strategy that maps user personas to key digital touchpoints, ensuring intuitive navigation, content relevance, and conversion optimization across the site.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize user journeys that support business goals (e.g., lead generation, product discovery, customer support).
  • Manage the digital content lifecycle, including content audits, updates, and governance.
  • Oversee the health, performance, governance, and security of the corporate website, ensuring optimal uptime, speed, accessibility, data privacy, and user experience.

SEO/GEO & Digital Growth

  • Develop and execute SEO and GEO strategies, including foundational search intent and keyword/phrase research, geographic considerations, and LLM-driven searches.
  • Operationalize SEO and GEO programs throughout the department and international business units to improve brand awareness and product interest.
  • Provide recommendations and partner with content strategy teams to drive traffic and visibility.

Email & Marketing Automation

  • Advance email marketing strategies, including campaign planning, segmentation, automation, and performance optimization.
  • Operationalize and scale marketing automation program through in-depth technical understanding of platforms and collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Develop scalable workflows for lead nurturing, conversions, and retention, and oversee email campaign execution and list management.
  • Partner with content strategy teams to refine deliverability and personalization strategies.
  • Develop account-based marketing strategies and execute them through web personalization and targeted content delivery.

Campaign Optimization

  • Collaborate with data partners to structure, standardize, and maintain technical campaign tracking requirements across web, email, and paid media (UTMs, Google Tag Manager, GA4).
  • Design A/B testing strategies for website and email and evaluate results to optimize user engagement and conversion.
  • Provide recommendations on best practices, trends, and features within digital channels.
  • Partner with content strategy teams, as well as external vendors, to deliver high-quality digital content and campaigns.

Technical Expertise

  • Stay current with digital best practices, emerging technologies, and platform capabilities to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Apply in-depth technical knowledge to building requirements for new platforms, tools, and integrations, as well as oversee implementation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to website and email functionality and security.
  • Develop processes to ensure website and email quality, security, accessibility, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards (GDPR, CPRA, CAN-SPAM).
  • Oversee digital asset management (DAM) system and integration with website.
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors on CMS, CRM, marketing automation, and other integrations.
  • Develop proper documentation for platforms and processes and ensure team members and vendors adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Expert in content management systems (e.g., Sitecore, WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager).
  • Mastery of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React), APIs, hosting, DNS, and web usability principles.
  • Hands-on experience managing website integrations with CRM, marketing automation, and personalization platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience managing email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo).
  • Well-versed in email deliverability, responsive design, and dynamic content.
  • Expertise in A/B testing design and tools (e.g., Optimizely, Google Optimize, Adobe Target).
  • In-depth knowledge of web performance tools and techniques (e.g., page speed optimization, accessibility standards).
  • Proven design sensibility or experience working with UX/UI teams.
  • Direct management of and accountability for technical coordination and execution across team members, vendors, IT, development teams, and stakeholders.

What you'll Need To Succeed:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on website and email strategy.
  • In-depth technical understanding of website and email practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage digital platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, and a high level of proficiency with SharePoint.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a B2B company.

  • HubSpot Email Marketing Certification or Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist

  • HTML/CSS Certification (e.g., from W3C, freeCodeCamp, or Coursera)

  • CMS Platform Certification (e.g., Sitecore, WordPress, or Adobe Experience Manager)

  • Marketing Automation Certification (e.g., Marketo Certified Expert, HubSpot Marketing Software Certification)

  • A/B Testing or Conversion Optimization Certification (e.g., CXL Institute, Google Optimize)

  • Analytics & Tracking Tools Certifications (GA4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio)

  • SEO Certification (SEMRush, Yoast Academy, Moz)
