Salary: $18/hr

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for supporting the accounting team by assisting with a variety of entry level accounting projects and administrative tasks. The role provides hands on exposure to fundamental accounting processes and technology enabled workflows, making it well suited for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in accounting or finance.

Assist the accounting team with organizing and maintaining sales tax exemption records. This includes verifying exemption status, researching and collecting necessary documentation, and supporting the implementation of updated reporting methods and process improvements.

Contribute to fixed asset record keeping by reconciling asset information and assisting with the transition between different fixed asset management software systems.

Support research and implementation of updated accounting processes using Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Teams, Lists, and SharePoint, with exposure to AI tools such as Copilot.

Respond to requests for information and data in a timely and professional manner.

Assist with resolving administrative questions and routine accounting-related inquiries.

Perform other duties as assigned in support of the accounting team.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field. Previous office-related work experience preferred.

Proven computer skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with co-workers and customers are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training which may include education on policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Demonstrate essential abilities: business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, mathematical abilities, decision making and skill development.

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

While performing duties pertaining to this job, individual may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
