THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Print Production Technician, you will be responsible for performing time-sensitive and data-sensitive mail production activities in a fast-paced environment using the latest technologies. Work involves set up and operating of high-speed, high-volume mail equipment; as well as the delivery, shipping and receiving of materials and supplies. In this role, you will be responsible for performing quality assurance and quality control inspections to verify files have been printed correctly, proper paper stock is used, print quality is consistent throughout the entire run and all work is completed within scheduled deadlines. You can expect to perform hand-related bindery tasks including comb binding, spiral binding, banding, padding, and envelope insertion. In addition, you will be responsible for packing, wrapping, and sealing materials for delivery. You will have the opportunity to function as a lead worker for print production work by assigning and reviewing work, training employees, and performing quality control functions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 3rd shift
  • Work hours are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday - Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Essential Employee - required to report to work during emergencies and office closings.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Print Production Operator; or
  • One year of experience in the operation of print or mail insertion equipment or similar machinery used in a print or mail production facility; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have experience running production equipment.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
