The Director, Research provides leadership and oversight for departmental research activities by optimizing research opportunities for faculty, residents, and trainees through support of basic, clinical, and translational research project conception and development, grant writing, recruitment and compliance, manuscript development, and management of submissions. Builds and sustains a research portfolio aligned with departmental and organizational priorities. The Research Director tasks include but are not limited to:
MUST BE ABLE TO PRESENT A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF LAUNCHING, GROWING AND EXPANDING AN ACADEMIC RESEARCH PROGRAM TO INCLUDE GRANT WRITING AND OTHER FUNDING MECHANISMS. What We Require: Education: Master's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: 3 years of experience performing and coordinating research activities. Licensure Certification: None. Life Support: N/A. Other Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of medical terminology required; proficiency with computers and standard office software required; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities required; strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills required; demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships required; ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team required; creativity, initiative, and attention to detail required.
