Vaco is seeking a Director of Accounting in Scottsdale, Arizona! Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and streamline end-to-end accounting operations Establish and uphold robust internal control frameworks Oversee the timely and accurate production of financial reports and statements Analyze business performance, trends, and operational metrics to support decision-making Serve as the primary liaison for external audits and oversee tax compliance activities Identify and execute enhancements to financial systems and workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency Partner closely with executive leadership to provide financial insights that shape company strategy Qualifications Active CPA certification strongly preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required Deep knowledge of technical accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting leadership roles Ability and willingness to work on-site five days per week Compensation up to $200,000 annually, plus bonus potential Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
