Summary:
Goldbelt Nighthawk is hiring a Container Engieer to support a long-term contract in Mechanicsburg, PA. The selected andidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable container infrastructures across multiple environments. They will collaborate with mission software teams to containerize applications and deploy them on multiple container orchestration platforms, and optimize cluster performance, resource utilization, and cost-effectiveness.Will assist Automation and DevSecOps teams with capabilities to support container deployments, sustainment, and cyber requirements.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies
- Develop and recommend corrective actions
- Analysis and support services related to securing, ensuring high performance of and maintaining a secure computing architecture
- Promote an environment of continuous process improvement, learning and team collaboration
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of Linux-Unix systems and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Expertise in AWS container services (Amazon EKS, ECS, ECR, and Fargate)
- Hands-on experience supporting containerized deployments for both GOTS and COTS applications
- Familiarity with RAISE 2.0 guidance and the certification process for becoming a Raised Platform of Choice
- Familiarity with container image signing
- Expertise with hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Proficiency in integrating with DoD cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or hybrid environments)
- Strong understanding of secure software development practices, vulnerability management, and incident report
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and writing skills
- Ability to communicate at Officer/Senior Enlisted/GS level in a military support environment
- Ability to use plain language to communicate complex concepts to all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to escalate issues quickly to enable rapid resolution
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Computing Environment Certification - AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate
- Information Assurance Technical II (IAT-2) qualification - CompTIA Sec+
- Successful T5 or T5R investigation for Privileged Access (Top Secret Clearance equivalent eligibility)
- 5+ years of experience in the following areas:
- DOD Authority to Operate
- Secure SDLC
- Proven success with Application Refactoring
- Proven success in large complex enterprise level cloud environments
- Proven success utilizing Kubernetes
- Proven success utilizing AWS Containerization Orchestration Services - EKS/ECS
- Experience in implementing CNAPP solutions.
- Experience with FedRAMP, FISMA, DoD CC SRG, or other government cloud compliance requirements
- Expertise with hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab, CI/CD, etc.)
- Extensive experience writing and managing YAML configurations for Kubernetes, CI/CD, and automation workflows
- Experience maintaining zero-trust architectures, identity management, and encryption solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
