Position Title: Machine Operator
Wage: starting at $23/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 2:30pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday We are searching for 2nd shift candidates for our open Machine Operator position located in Riverside, MO. An ideal candidate will have prior machine operation experience in a metal manufacturing environment and is available to train on days. This company does offer room to grow in areas such as fabrication, industrial painting, welding, and much more! If interested, please apply with an updated work history. Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Learn and execute elements of safe machine operation involving the B-25 Band Saw, Shot Blaster, and 268 & 414 Groover - Perform in-process inspections including dimensional verification and surface prep; perform additional inspections pertaining to product specification - Maintain records of inspections and results pertaining to jobs; verify finished product's dimensions and their conformance with drawings, work order specifications - Verify proper calibration of all inspection instruments and gauges for workstation - Know and understand how to properly navigate Medix per job/spool - Complete all daily checklists and TPM's - Ensure all area 5S duties are getting completed - Communicate and interact with Line Leads and Shift Supervisors on maintenance issues needed with the machinery Machine Operator Requirements: - High school diploma - Experience in a manufacturing/steel fabrication environment is preferred - Computer literacy of Microsoft Windows software is preferred - Familiarity with SWI/SOP processes - Good understanding of shop math (fraction to decimal) and ability to read tape measure, and measuring tools (caliper, micrometers, vernier scale) preferred - Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints desired - Good written and oral communication skills required - Good problem-solving capabilities desired - Must be able to work independently, efficiently and be self-motivated and detail-oriented QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
