As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, support access control and visitor guidance, and provide strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including equipment alarms, access control issues, and medical or fire-related calls for service.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter, as permitted by site policy.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas, and promptly reporting concerns.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing visitors and deliveries to the proper locations.
  • Screen and log visitor, vendor, and contractor activity per site procedures, including issuing credentials when directed and maintaining accurate records.
  • Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and/or other security-related systems as assigned, and communicate status updates to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct routine inspections for security-related concerns such as open doors, unsecured gates, broken fencing, and unusual conditions, and report findings according to post orders.
  • Document incidents, patrol observations, and service requests in daily activity reports and incident reports with clear, timely, and factual information.
  • Coordinate with site leadership and Allied Universal management during emergencies, drills, and operational disruptions, and follow direction from responding public services when on site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
