This is what it takes to work for us.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in medical billing, collections, or insurance follow-up is preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Comfortable working with billing systems and insurance portals
• Basic computer skills
• Familiar with Microsoft software
• Payment Processing: Import from websites and post payments from batches as well as patient credit card payments.
• Billing Management: Generate invoices for services, ensuring that all charges are accurately captured and recorded.
• Insurance Claims: Post insurance payments, rejections, and refunds.
• HIPAA Compliance: Comply with the requirements of HIPAA in respect to the privacy of individually identifiable health information and the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PHI.
• Cultural Contribution: Promote a culture that reflects the organization's values, encourages good performance, and enhances productivity.
• Time Management: Have the capacity to stay on task, avoid distractions, and manage time efficiently.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical billing software and familiarity with medical terminology on Explanation of Benefits.
