Registered Nurse Coordinator Surgical Specialties - Operating Room

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse Coordinator - Operating Room

• Location: Glenbrook Hospital

• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

• Hours: Monday-Friday -either 0600-1430 5-days per week or 0630-1630 4-days per week

• Additional Coverage: Available by phone for emergencies and may assist in the cardiovascular institute

What you will do:

• Coordinates the care for the operating room surgical patient population

• Manages staff schedules and patient assignments

• Works closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and operating room staff to ensure safe and quality care of the surgical patient

• Coordinates specialty cases with RN surgical specialists

• Monitors and maintains the quality of the intraoperative patient population by ensuring compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.

• Participates in performance improvement initiatives related to surgical specialties, collect and analyze data, and implement strategies to enhance patient care outcomes.

• May cross cover in the cardiovascular institute

What you will need:

• Bachelors Degree Nursing Required

• 3 Years of clinical nursing experience, with surgical specialty experience preferred.

• Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois. Required And

• BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS - American Heart Association (AHA) Required
