The WEX Summer Internship Program: Learn, Lead, and Make an Impact

Our 13-week paid internship program, running from late May to mid-August, is a chance for you to gain real-world experience and develop your skills. Recruiting begins in January and continues through March at our various locations across the U.S.

You won't just be a bystander; you'll work on impactful projects and contribute to WEX's mission. About the team/role:

Global Third Party Risk Management (GTPRM) ensures that risks introduced by third-party relationships are identified, assessed, and managed throughout the vendor lifecycle in alignment with regulatory requirements and the company's risk tolerance.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Providing support to the Vendor Management Team in the assessment of vendor risks.

  • Resolving the backlog of domestic and international vendors to ensure compliance with WEX Regulatory requirements.

  • Performing data entry for vendor due diligence analytics.

  • Promoting operational enhancements through targeted project-based assignments.

  • Reviewing submitted materials for potential deficiencies and associated risks.

  • Completing outstanding due diligence for established vendors.

  • Validating the accuracy of vendor metadata.

  • Organizing and monitoring the status of due diligence documentation.

  • Actively lead internal projects around vendor management process improvements.

  • Work closely with multiple lines of the business and bring strategic visions to key initiatives.

  • Learn and operate within WEX's P2P and TPRM tools.

  • Monitor data for relevant risk changes with the tool and escalate as needed.

You should also expect:

Experience you'll bring:

  • At a minimum, you should be a rising Junior or Senior Bachelor's student, in a degree/certificate-seeking accredited program.

  • Strong time management skills, including planning and execution.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting information.

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, and a willingness to try new things.

  • Ability to work effectively under limited supervision.

  • Experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets is a must.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
