Head of Marketing, RBC Clear

What is the opportunity?

RBC Clear is seeking a strategic marketing leader to lead all marketing initiatives for RBC Clear. This individual will develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the 2026 RBC Clear Marketing Strategy Framework, driving customer acquisition, sales enablement, and brand positioning. This role encompasses leading a high-performing marketing team while ensuring all marketing materials meet corporate audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will partner closely with internal sales teams across RBCCM, the RBC Clear sales organization, and external prospects to position RBC Clear as the trusted leader in treasury solutions.

What will you do?

1. Marketing Strategy & Execution (External Clients & Prospects)

  • Develop and execute targeted marketing initiatives for external clients and prospects, balancing awareness, education, and adoption
  • Create outcome-focused case studies and client testimonials with quantifiable metrics
  • Develop vertical and use-case-specific thought leadership content addressing treasury challenges
  • Plan and execute webinars, virtual roundtables, and proprietary client events
  • Design and manage nurture campaigns mapped to buyer journey stages
  • Execute paid and organic social strategies targeting high-intent prospects
  • Monitor pipeline influence, engagement rates, and case study impact on deal progression
  • Review marketing performance monthly against pipeline targets; conduct quarterly deep-dives on engagement and adoption metrics

2. Internal Sales Partner Enablement

  • Build comprehensive sales enablement programs targeting RBCCM Corporate Banking, FX, and other internal sales divisions
  • Develop and deliver sales training, battle cards, and competitive positioning materials
  • Create co-selling resources, templates, and quick-reference guides tailored to specific client segments
  • Launch monthly newsletters and quarterly internal events showcasing RBC Clear wins and capabilities
  • Design incentive programs recognizing sales partner contributions and RBC Clear referrals
  • Track sales partner engagement, sourced pipeline, and training effectiveness on a monthly basis
  • Conduct quarterly analysis of partner-sourced pipeline and contribution to revenue

3. RBC Clear Sales Team Support & Enablement

  • Provide direct, continuous support to the RBC Clear sales team with emphasis on sales collateral
  • Develop comprehensive sales playbooks and battle cards organized by vertical and use case
  • Create deal-stage-specific collateral for discovery, proposal, negotiation, and implementation phases
  • Produce one-pagers, product briefs, and competitive positioning materials for quick reference
  • Build a curated library of client success stories and case studies tailored to buyer personas
  • Conduct quarterly product and capability updates for sales teams
  • Maintain and optimize the RBCCM Connect site and digital resources for sales teams
  • Share win/loss analysis and insights with the sales team to improve performance
  • Monitor sales team utilization of marketing assets, deal velocity, and win rates; conduct bi-weekly win/loss reviews and monthly collateral gap analysis

4. Compliance, Audit & Risk Management

  • Oversee all marketing materials to ensure full compliance with corporate audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Partner closely with RBC Clear's Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to establish governance protocols for marketing approvals
  • Establish and maintain documented compliance workflows for all marketing deliverables (content, digital assets, events, communications)
  • Conduct regular audits of marketing materials to verify alignment with regulatory standards

5. Brand & Thought Leadership

  • Nurture relationships with industry analysts (e.g., at Celent, Datos, etc.) to promote RBC Clear's reputation and collaborate on thought leadership content
  • Develop strategies to enhance RBC Clear's reputation as a trusted industry partner
  • Lead creation and distribution of high-quality thought leadership content (articles, case studies, webinars)
  • Secure speaking opportunities at high-profile industry events and conferences
  • Identify prestige media opportunities, awards, and recognition initiatives

6. Team Leadership & People Development

  • Lead and develop a team of 2-3 direct reports with distinct accountability across content creation, sales enablement, and client engagement
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development to embed RBC's culture, values, and leadership behaviors
  • Establish performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and reward strong contributions
  • Build a collaborative, high-performing marketing organization focused on outcomes and client impact

What you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Years of experience needed
  • University degree in a related field
  • Proven track record in senior marketing leadership roles, preferably in financial services, fintech, or B2B SaaS environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in go-to-market strategy, brand building, sales enablement, and thought leadership development
  • Experience managing compliance and audit requirements for regulated marketing communications
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling ability; skilled at translating complex financial and technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, content creation, and social media strategy
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Expertise in building high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture
  • Results-driven mindset with focus on measurable outcomes, pipeline influence, and ROI
  • Strategic thinker with creative problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong relationship-building skills across internal stakeholders, sales teams, and external partners
  • Ability to influence and operate effectively in matrixed organizations across functions and geographies
  • Financial services, payments, or treasury solutions industry knowledge strongly preferred
  • Polished executive presentation skills capable of engaging C-level audiences
  • Skilled in creating executive and sales presentations in PowerPoint

The expected salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
