Job Summary The Director of Development for Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) serves as a strategic revenue leader and front-line fundraiser dedicated to expanding Florida International University's portfolio of institutional partners. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporate and
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of experience in business, corporate development, foundations, and/or grants; OR twelve (12) years of experience in business, corporate development, foundations, and/or grants; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Desired Qualifications Demonstrated track record of identifying, cultivating, and soliciting a portfolio of major donors, with documented success in closing six-figure ($100,000+) philanthropic commitments. Extensive experience in securing corporate sponsorships and leading high-revenue fundraising events (e.g., galas, golf tournaments, or conferences). Proven ability to manage a dynamic pipeline of prospects, utilizing strategic techniques to advance donors from qualification to stewardship. Experience providing strategic counsel to and partnering with senior academic leadership (Deans, Faculty) or C-suite executives to translate institutional priorities into compelling funding opportunities. Background in partnership development or revenue-generating roles, demonstrating the ability to blend philanthropic goals with business objectives. Advanced proficiency with fundraising databases, specifically Blackbaud Raiser's Edge or Raiser's Edge NXT, for tracking donor activity and reporting.
