Department Summary The Division of Undergraduate Education serves as the campus-wide advocate for undergraduate education, providing leadership to achieve the highest quality of teaching and learning; it also promotes academic success for UCLA's diverse undergraduate population, ensuring options for all students to engage in a challenging array of educational opportunities, from foundational general education courses to advanced research and honors projects. Position Summary UCLA's Learning and Academic Enrichment Programs (LAEP) is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative HR Generalist / Academic Personnel Analyst to support a dynamic, high-volume academic environment. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives at the intersection of human resources, academic personnel administration, payroll, and employee relations, and who enjoys being a trusted advisor to leadership, managers, and employees. In this role, you will manage the full employee lifecycle for staff, academic appointees, graduate students, and student workers-ensuring compliance with University policy, collective bargaining agreements, and state and federal regulations. You will play a critical role in onboarding and off-boarding, academic appointments, payroll processing, benefits guidance, and labor relations, while providing data-driven insights to campus partners such as Financial Aid and the Career Center. You'll also serve as a key academic personnel liaison, overseeing appointments, merits, promotions, reappointments, and leaves for Unit 18 lecturers and academic administrators across multiple departments. Using systems such as UCPath, UC Recruit, OPUS, Interfolio, TRS, and CDW, you'll ensure accuracy, timeliness, and policy alignment across all HR and academic personnel actions Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range.
