Overview
The Human Resources Manager is a key culturecarrier at E11EVEN Hotel & Residences, helping bring the brand's bold energy, luxury standards, and highperformance mindset to life through its people. Partnering closely with the Director of Human Resources, this role supports the full employee lifecycle with a strong focus on building teams, driving engagement, and delivering a bestinclass employee experience. The Human Resources Manager plays a handson role in staffing hourly positions, ensuring timely and compliant HR administration, and reinforcing company policies and brand expectations across the property. Serving as a trusted resource to leaders and team members, this role supports benefits administration, workers' compensation, and employee relations while championing accountability, service excellence, and a dynamic workplace culture aligned with the E11EVEN lifestyle.
Responsibilities
Plays a critical role in building the hotel's workforce by supporting highvolume hourly recruiting efforts, including advertising, prescreening, and coordination to ensure timely staffing aligned with operational needs.
- Serves as a trusted partner in maintaining accurate and compliant employee records across the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, transfers, promotions, and separations.
- Ensures payroll accuracy and compliance by entering, auditing, and validating wage data, hours worked, and benefits eligibility in support of timely payroll processing.
- Demonstrates the ability to administer and elevate total rewards programs, including health benefits, retirement plans, paid time off, and other offerings, ensuring employees clearly understand and value their benefits experience.
- Supports risk management and employee wellbeing by overseeing workers' compensation processes, including injury reporting, claim tracking, and required documentation.
- Manages unemployment claims and related reporting with accuracy, discretion, and adherence to regulatory timelines.
- Ensures consistent compliance with all Human Resources and related Loss Prevention SOPs, supporting a workplace culture rooted in accountability and operational integrity.
- Maintains and monitors leave of absence programs to ensure accurate tracking, clear communication, and compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Becomes a certified facilitator for Human Resources training modules and supports delivery of learning experiences that reinforce culture, standards, and professional development.
- Coordinates and supports onboarding and orientation programs that create a strong first impression and connect new hires to the E11EVEN culture from day one.
- Contributes to internal communications and engagement initiatives by supporting employee newsletters, content creation, and storytelling that celebrates people and performance.
- Plays an active role in employee engagement and enrichment efforts, including planning events, recognition activities, and teambuilding initiatives that strengthen culture and retention.
- Participates in the Highgate Hotel Enrichment Committee to support morale, inclusion, and a positive workplace environment.
- Coordinates the Travel Reduction Program by preparing required plans, administering surveys, and supporting annual compliance reporting.
- Maintains required safety and compliance documentation, including First Aid logs, to support a safe and prepared work environment.
- Prepares and distributes workforce analytics and reports, including turnover data, wage surveys, and performance review tracking, to support leadership decisionmaking.
- Administers employee programs such as complimentary room night benefits, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with policy.
- Handles sensitive employee, payroll, and benefits information with the highest level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- The Human Resources Manager must possess a minimum of five years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- At least two years of experience in a managerial or leadership role is required.
- A minimum of one year of Human Resources experience within a hotel or closely related hospitality environment is required.
- Luxury hospitality experience is highly desired, particularly within lifestyle, entertainment-driven, or high-profile hotel operations.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred to support a diverse and dynamic workforce.
- Previous supervisory experience, including coaching, performance management, and employee relations, is strongly preferred.
- College coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is beneficial.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- The ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to communicate confidently and professionally with associates, leadership, and guests at all levels is essential.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to thoughtfully address and resolve concerns are required.
- The Human Resources Manager must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and exercise sound judgment at all times.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment are required.
- The position requires a proactive, hands-on approach to anticipating, identifying, and resolving issues.
- Flexibility to work extended and nontraditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required based on business needs.
- The role involves primarily sedentary work with the ability to lift or move up to ten pounds as needed.
