Setting standards for tailored solutions, through precision engineering and unwavering commitment, empowering businesses in the US. The VP of Operations is a pivotal role with responsiblities for all operations of the business at the Product Company including Production, Logistics, Scheduling, Engineering, and Supply Chain. This role reports to the General Manager and is based in Michigan City, Indiana. The VP of Operations is over a team of 55, with five direct reports. You will
- Establishe quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company's efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Liaise with departmental heads to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide compliance
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations of projects and systems.
- Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organizations business plan and vision.
- Work with executive leadership to formulate and implement business strategy, plans, operational best practices, policies and procedures.
- Provide day to day leadership and spearhead the development, communication and implementation of all operational systems/procedures.
- Plan, organize, coordinate and control production to ensure pump assemblies and systems are manufactured efficiently on time, within budget and to standards.
- Ensure all jobs are completed in a safe, timely and accurate manner and at the highest standards of quality and production efficiency.
- Provide leadership and direction in Safety, Quality and Productivity through the use of continuous improvement processes, 5S and lean manufacturing concepts.
- Responsible for the operations, production and engineering results of the facility to include: goal achievements, problem-solving coordination, establishment of priorities and achievement of production results.
- Lead coordination and integration of efforts among operation, engineering, supply chain, quality,safety, and scheduling to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.

- Bachelor's degree -Business Administration, Industrial Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years eningeering, manufacturing production management experience.
- Ability to analyze, data and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to production manufacturing processes.
- Experience in a custom manufacturing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, problem resolution, and meet objectives and goals.
- Ability to work and coordinate activities with other support departments.
- Knowledge of process flows in customer service, engineering, supply chain, production, logistics.
- Experience and knowledge of industrial vacuum pump systems.
- Ability to drive a team and hold people accountable.
- Experience with fully absorb costing and cost reduction planning
- Experience with CAPEX approval criteria and process
- Stong team building and mentoring skills
- Stong communication skills both up and down the organizational chart
- Experience interacting with international teams
- Able to sponsor change throught the organization
