Description Acara Solutions is seeking two full-time temporary Grant Accounts to support our client in accounting operations related to grant funding in Houston, Teaxas. Duration: 6-month contract Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM to 5PM Key Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Research, analyze, and correct accounting errors in a timely manner Support grant-related financial reporting and tracking Utilize Excel for data analysis, including pivot tables and lookup functions Work within financial systems, including PeopleSoft Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding accounting issues Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience Hands-on experience with journal entries and account reconciliations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions Experience with financial software; PeopleSoft experience preferred Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to research and resolve accounting discrepancies After you apply, you may receive a call or message from our AI Talent Scout about this role or other opportunities that match your skills and preferences.
