To help achieve these goals Montefiore is recruiting for seasoned Supply Chain leaders to provide expertise, create efficiencies, realize financial savings, take full advantage of System technology, and add value for our Clinicians and Associates.

This role uniquely combines strategic sourcing expertise with advanced data analytics capabilities. The Sourcing Analytics Manager will be responsible for mining and managing large datasets to ensure contract pricing accuracy, drive cost savings, and optimize the procure-to-pay (P2P) process. The role also includes category-level analysis to monitor vendor performance and identify actionable opportunities for improvement.

The Sourcing Analytics Manager position requires an experienced sourcing professional with a background in clinical and non-clinical materials and services contracting with superior analytic and problem-solving skills supporting a fast-paced, transformation-oriented work environment.

This position is responsible for supporting the end-to-end process of source-to-contract for a clinical category(s) within a health care setting utilizing sourcing best practices. The Sourcing Analytics Manager will develop sourcing strategies in collaboration with stakeholders that offer optimal balance of cost, quality, and outcomes. The Sourcing Analytics Manager will be responsible for identifying initiatives, developing market/spend analysis, benchmarking comparisons, and competitive procurement documents (RFP/RFI). This position will support supplier negotiations, contract development/management, vendor management, and the identification/realization of savings opportunities. The ideal candidate is skilled at creating presentations and presenting/discussing complex Supply Chain initiatives to all levels of leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Science or Business Administration required - Masters preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years in data science and a min of one year of sourcing experience with a focus on data interactive clinical supply and equipment spend.
  • Must have knowledge in Supply Chain Management, Medical/Surgical Distribution, ERP, Contract Management Software, Inventory Systems, Healthcare spend contract management.
  • Must be knowledgeable in GPO utilization, Accounting principles, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, market and supplier research and analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools
  • Strong understanding of P2P workflows, invoice matching, and pricing validation

The individual in this position must:

  • Possess knowledge associated with the professional field of strategic sourcing, project management, systems, and procedures.
  • Have experience in the creation of RFP/RFI documents, driving the solicitation process, with appropriate documentation of processes and decisions.
  • Experience in contracting, vendor management, analysis creation, cross department consensus building.
  • Have demonstrated ability to apply associated theories, methods, and principles, to practice.
  • Perform associated duties that are predominantly intellectual and varied in nature, requiring creative, analytical, evaluative, interpretive, and/or critical thinking; and
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment, requiring only general supervision.
  • Possess proficiency with Excel, Word and standard computer programs required.
  • Possess excellent planning and critical thinking skills.
  • Have data analytics skills -such as SQL or specific statistical analytics software, to help develop work practices associated with ERP integration of contracts, financial impact analysis, and contract management.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Sourcing Analytics Manager will be responsible for the contracting and vendor management from the item to the relationship level. The Sourcing Analytics Manager is an end user-focused position ensuring best value for the goods and services procured by the system. This will be accomplished through contracting best practices, and management of vendor deliverables.
  • Analyzes business needs and ensures that functional and technical requirements are documented.
  • Performs necessary investigations, analyses, and evaluations to determine feasibility.
  • Develop communication strategies and establish communication plans.
  • Prepares routine department status reports.
  • Provide regular department status information to team members, including attending required meetings and following up on action items.
  • Ensures each project deliverable has clear completion criteria and acceptance plan.
  • Ensures adherence to protocols, procedures, and project plans.
  • Mine, clean, and validate large datasets to support sourcing decisions.
  • Develop predictive models and dashboards to track pricing compliance and vendor performance.
  • Analyze category spending to identify cost savings and contract optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate ERP integration that will drive P2P efficiencies and improve invoice reconciliation.
  • Use SQL, Python, or statistical tools to automate reporting and insights generation.\Maintains all relevant documentation and communications.
  • Possess knowledge of pharmacy spend in a 340B hospital setting.
  • Provides direction and support to the department ensuring the team is informed of all changes, decisions, etc. that may affect the success of the department.
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships within the system to obtain information and content from providers and colleagues to foster successful project completion.
  • Supports short and long term operational/strategic business activities - by developing, enhancing, and maintaining project information and models. Develops and implements effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.
  • Develops and manages best-practices and tools for performance improvement plan execution and management. Identifies and manage performance improvement dependencies and critical path issues.
  • Serves as an operational resource for internal team members for expedited problem identification and resolution, provision of project-specific updates, and team interactions and deadlines.
  • Concurrently coordinates and manages multiple projects across the Health System.
  • Adheres to and assists with business operations and project specific quality documents (for example: SOPs, work plans/practices, training guides).
  • Establish links between Strategic Sourcing and other departments within the context of contract management, Data Integrity and Procure-to-Pay.
