This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.

General Job Summary:

The entry-level aerodynamics engineer will design and analyze aircraft mechanical, propulsion, component structures, systems, and processes. The engineer will carry out design and performance for new and redesigned turbine hardware, non-turbine engine structures, field failures and production support. You will be provided with personal mentoring and guidance from world-class turbomachinery engineers while transitioning your educational background to real-world application.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Perform airfoil design and computational fluid dynamics analyses for commercial, space, and military engine programs.
  • Execute all phases of the aero-design process, from conceptual design through detailed analysis.
  • Develop airfoil and flow-path geometry using CAD tools.
  • Conduct computational fluid dynamics analyses to evaluate aerodynamic performance and optimize designs.
  • iIdentify and resolve complex aerodynamic technical challenges.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new or modified assemblies and components.
  • Document changes through a formal engineering change notification process.
  • Support testing and correlate analytical results with experimental data.
  • Collaborate with a team on a diverse and technically challenging set of advanced programs.
