Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Foreman to help lead, grow, and develop our Western Building Crew Division. This role is ideal for a motivated, hands-on leader who understands the demands of industrial construction and is ready to take ownership of a crew. The Foreman will oversee daily operations, ensure productivity and safety, and work closely with the Construction Superintendent to build and maintain a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for pre-construction, construction, and close phases of construction projects.
  • Assemble the metal framework of new buildings or structures by fitting together steel girders, pipework, and beams.
  • Interpret blueprints or plans to weld girders, columns, and beams.
  • Create project plans, order supplies, and establish relationships with vendors.
  • Execute proper safety using harnesses, lifts, scaffolding, safety nets, hand signals, etc.
  • May often be carried out at heights from elevated platforms.
  • Operate mobile and elevated work platforms and/or cranes.
  • Assemble and install lifts and hoists.
  • Weld and use a cutting torch.
  • Complete facility wiring, circuit testing, and motor repair.
  • Effectively operate a variety of saws, air tools, and general repair tools.
  • Make general repairs to facilities as well as troubleshoot issues (hydraulics, pumps, motors).
  • Compliance with all project safety and environmental requirements including conducting weekly safety meetings.
  • Process required paperwork throughout the day and week.
  • Ensure all regulations, laws, and safety standards are strictly adhered to.
  • Travel throughout states when needed.

Requirements:

  • Team player mentality and eagerness to cross-train on topics such as dispatching, batching, mechanics, etc.
  • Experience with lasers, levelers, taglines, and plumb bobs.
  • Experience with welders and electrical wiring.

  • Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.
  • Overnight travel may occur during peak season.
