2026 Summer Intern - In Vivo Studies and Integration

Department Summary

The Sensor Integration team within the Diabetes Care R&D Network, is responsible for sensor and chemistry development for the Diabetes Care products. Our team focuses on creating biosensors for diabetes relevant parameters and extensive lab-based and real-world based performance testing.

This internship position is located in Indianapolis, on-site.

The Opportunity

  • Analytical characterization and testing of new chemistries using electrochemical and analytical techniques.

  • Assisting with clinical studies of new devices.

  • Supporting production troubleshooting.

  • Data analysis, report generation, and verbal presentation of lab results to local team and project teams.

Program Highlights

  • Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

  • Program start dates are in May/June 2026.

  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are

Required Education
You meet one of the following criteria:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).

Required majors: Chemistry, Biomedical, Biochemistry, Biology.

Required skills:

  • Background in the natural sciences (chemistry, biology, or associated sub-disciplines).

  • Undergraduate lab experience (through classes or independent study).

  • Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience.

  • Ability to work independently in the lab and balance multiple tasks.

  • Able to multitask, comfortable working independently in a lab setting, problem solving and research skills, good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • Complements our culture and the standards that guide our daily behavior & decisions: Integrity, Courage, and Passion.

  • Experience with other analysis software would be a plus.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
