The Solution Architect for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) serves as the senior technical and functional leader responsible for guiding clients through the design, development, and implementation of D365 CE and Power Platform solutions. This role requires deep expertise in the CE data model, application architecture, solution customizations, integration patterns, governance, and enterprise implementation methodologies.

In addition to traditional CE architecture responsibilities, this role incorporates capabilities aligned with Microsoft FastTrack, including structured oversight, risk mitigation, enterprise deployment patterns, and familiarity with Microsoft led deployment frameworks. The architect will work with senior client stakeholders, internal teams, and Microsoft engineers to ensure successful solution delivery, and uphold best practices across the deployment lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE/CRM and Power Platform solution delivery experience, strong consulting and communication skills, and relevant Microsoft certifications.

Key Responsibilities

Dynamics 365 CE / Power Platform Architecture

  • Provide technical leadership across the delivery lifecycle, ensuring solution architecture aligns with best practices, client objectives, and project constraints.
  • Partner with project managers and delivery teams to align scope, timelines, resources, and risk management activities for CE implementations.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of CE project activities, ensuring adherence to SDLC standards and established quality expectations.
  • Communicate status, risks, issues, and key design decisions to stakeholders and program leadership to maintain alignment and transparency throughout the project.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants by providing guidance throughout delivery projects, ensuring strong utilization, growing their experience across the project lifecycle, and reinforcing D365 CE implementation best practices.

FastTrack Aligned Delivery & Governance

  • Apply Microsoft FastTrack methodology and RSM's FastTrack Center of Excellence best practices to ensure governance, risk mitigation, quality assurance, and alignment to proven enterprise deployment patterns.
  • Partner closely with the PMO and cross functional teams to coordinate environment strategy, ALM, release management, and performance, data and go-live readiness activities that uphold delivery standards and ensure project success.
  • Lead customer enablement through technical sessions, solution reviews, and readiness workshops, influencing executive sponsors, business owners, and technical teams to drive adoption and solution quality.

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience implementing and architecting Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / CRM solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience leading technical teams through solution delivery in enterprise environments
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders across complex organizations and communicate effectively with executive and technical audiences.
  • Proven experience designing, configuring, and deploying CE and Power Platform solutions (Dataverse, Model Driven Apps, Power Automate)
  • Experience working within Microsoft FastTrack frameworks, including workshops, readiness reviews, telemetry, and best practice deployment guidance.
  • Deep expertise in CE solution architecture, including data model design, security, customization patterns, and integration strategies.
  • Proven success delivering projects within scope, schedule, and budget, with strong expertise in project planning and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure platform.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Preferred

  • Microsoft Certifications such as:
    • PL600: Power Platform Solution Architect
    • MB210 / MB230 / MB260 (CE functional and technical)
    • PL400 or other Power Platform technical certifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Copilot, and agents.
  • Advanced skills in MS Project, Excel, and other Microsoft productivity tools.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Pipelines
  • Experience with SmartSheet
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and strategic consulting abilities.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $107,000 - $214,500

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
