The Position:

We're looking for a Shop Foreman to work in our Northeast Asphalt Shop in Manitowoc WI. Under the direction of the Shops Manager, the Foreman will be responsible for all daily tasks related to running the repair facility and supporting our production operation's.



Role and Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for handling budget and managing the assets cost/repairs.
  • Ensuring proper documentation of repairs, warranty, and all pertinent information.
  • Check on parts supply and assist with inventory management.
  • Communicate with operations on equipment repair status and update repair schedules.
  • Support mechanics with repair procedures, ordering parts, and training.
  • Participate in and help champion all Shop Safety initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve on shop OSHA standards and cleanliness.
  • Help provide phone and reception support for shop office.
  • Hire, train, schedule and conduct performance reviews for shop personnel.

The Location:



  • This position works as part of the staff in our Manitowoc, WI maintenance & repair facility.



The Candidate:



  • 5 + years of auto mechanical experience preferably in a repair shop environment.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Deep knowledge of machinery, tools, and technical procedures specific to the industry.
  • Strong ability to motivate, lead, and mentor a team to meet production goals.
  • Quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
  • Class A CDL.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Be self-directed and motivated.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using different forms of written and oral communication.


Preferred:




  • Experience using shop management software systems or similar.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. ASE for automotive).
