Job Description

The Consultant II plays a key role in overseeing the team's daily operations, managing work assignments based on priorities and guidance, and proactively escalating issues when needed. This role carries diverse responsibilities, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to independently handle moderately complex tasks with minimal supervision. The Consultant II is expected to bring sound judgment, initiative, and a high level of ownership to support team success.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted partner by responding to and coordinating internal and external inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Ensure the integrity of our financial data by reviewing claims and validating reinsurance cessions.
  • Support critical reporting cycles through the preparation of quarterly and annual statutory and GAAP financial statements and schedules.
  • Manage key financial processes, including calculating, recording, billing, and collecting/paying reinsurance recoveries, premiums, adjustments, and accruals.
  • Help drive resolution by implementing outcomes from settlements or formal rulings across the organization.
  • Act as a communication hub, ensuring clear and timely information flow among all stakeholders during reinsurance disputes.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with team members and business partners to support shared goals.
  • Contribute to innovation by participating in-and even initiating-process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain compliance with all reporting requirements related to liquidations.
  • Monitor financial risk by identifying companies with potential financial challenges that have reinsured with Allstate.
Experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred - ideal for someone looking to deepen their expertise in reinsurance, finance, or claims operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This role does not include supervisory duties.

Compensation

Compensation for this role will range from $65,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually depending on experience.
