Job Description




As a Security Officer - Route Patrol Driver in Culver City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech and media campus, you will complete routine rounds and perimeter checks, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist employees and visitors with directions, access questions, and service-focused communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech and office campus environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per site requirements and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, parking locations, and building perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Control access points by monitoring entry and exit activity, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors, deliveries, and contractors according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports, incident logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
