As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests for assistance. You will represent an agile, reliable, and innovative team, bringing a caring, people-first approach, clear communication, and integrity while supporting staff and visitors throughout the site.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and applicable laws, maintaining a professional presence and documenting activity as required.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting public emergency services support and/or supervisory assistance when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document incident details for follow-up, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
