Overview
The Cash Management Payment Posting Specialist 3 is responsible for ensuring that all electronic and paper remittance and payments are received, balanced, and applied accurately and timely to patient and guarantor accounts. This position will be responsible for reviewing, interpreting, calculating and posting paper or electronic payments, adjustments, and denials received from payers. This position will also be responsible for validating that paper and electronic payments received from payers balance to the paper and electronic remittance advice. This position is responsible for researching, correcting, and reporting any posting or balancing issues. This position is also responsible for researching and setting up EFT and ERA enrollments. This position is also responsible for facilitating and collaborating on process improvement initiatives. This position creates, updates, and maintains department policies and procedures to ensure best practices are enforced and adhered to. This position participates in projects. This position serves as an expert resource for escalated questions and interprets data to identify and monitor performance. This position has a deeper understanding of PLB reason codes. Qualifications Certifications: , Education: Associate's Degree; Experience In Lieu of Education, Work Experience: Healthcare Responsibilities Must be able to perform essential job functions of Cash Management Payment Poster 1 and 2. Evaluate insurance payers for e-commerce opportunities, including working with electronic data interchange departments for appropriate provider enrollment. Identify and understand new and deleted remittance advice ANSI group and reason codes and coordinate updates with internal departments for billing system actions. Responsible for collaborating with management to guide outside vendors in enrollment for electronic remittance; responsible for the set up of those payers for electronic funds transfers. Retains detailed knowledge of Provider Level Balance codes. Collaborate with insurance companies to understand PLB processing. Actively engages in departmental meetings. Analyzes system issues and aids in resolving errors. Evaluate current workflows, identify bottlenecks, and pinpoint areas for improvement. Work with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and ensure successful implementation of process changes. Track the impact of implemented changes and make adjustments as needed to ensure ongoing improvement. Display a mindset of ongoing optimization and learning within the organization. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $17.76per hour - $28.77per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
