Intermediate Database Administrator - Modernization & Cloud Transformation Join a forwardthinking technology team that's driving largescale modernization across enterprise systems. We're seeking three Intermediate Database Administrators to play a key role in transforming and supporting critical database platforms, including major modernization initiatives and enhancements to core data systems and portals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, improving system performance, and collaborating across technical teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. What You'll Do As an Intermediate Database Administrator, you will: * Design, maintain, and optimize database environments across production and nonproduction systems. * Support data migration processes and ensure smooth transitions in evolving system architectures. * Contribute to enhancements for webbased portals and internal data systems. * Participate in project meetings and provide meaningful technical feedback to leadership and stakeholders. * Prepare clear monthly status reports and effectively communicate progress. * Ensure database security aligns with industry standards and regulatory guidelines. * Assist in identifying risks, troubleshooting obstacles, and implementing solutions throughout major modernization initiatives. This position requires residency in Florida and the ability to work onsite in Tallahassee when needed. Key Skills & Technologies * MS SQL Server Administration * SQL & TSQL * Azure cloud services * DevOps tools & methodologies * Power BI * Database management & optimization What You Bring We're looking for candidates who demonstrate: * A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience. * Strong expertise in backup/recovery, database configuration, data modeling, and warehouse support. * 5+ years of experience with MS SQL Server and SSRS, including subreports, parameters, subscriptions, and interactive features. * Excellent technical documentation skills (requirements, specifications, design, testing, traceability). * Experience developing or supporting web applications. * Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio. * Familiarity with large enterprise implementations and secure data architecture. * Ability to collaborate across teams and bring a solutionsfocused mindset. Experience Level Intermediate - ideal for someone ready to deepen their expertise and take on meaningful responsibility within a major modernization program. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Tallahassee, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
