*Description*
Position Description: The DevOps Engineer III designs, implements, and leads enterprise-level DevOps solutions, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, automation, and security practices. This role serves as a senior technical resource and mentor, driving DevOps strategy and continuous improvement across teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *Leads the design and implementation of enterprise CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions. *Architects and support scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments in Microsoft Azure. *Defines and enforces DevOps standards, patterns, and best practices. *Leads Infrastructure-as-Code strategy and reusable automation modules. *Implements DevSecOps practices, governance, and compliance controls. *Troubleshoot complex CI/CD, infrastructure, and production issues. *Builds and supports a true DevOps/CI-CD software delivery model. *Provides technical guidance, options, and recommendations to management. *Coaches and mentors DevOps Engineer I and II team members. *Participates in project planning, status meetings, and provides technical leadership. *Performs other duties as assigned/necessary. Minimum Requirements: *Experience with Advanced CI/CD architecture, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), Infrastructure-as-Code, container platforms, scripting, automation, security, and monitoring. *Expert-level experience with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms. *Advanced scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python. *Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills. *Ability to handle risk and manage change comfortably. *Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals through strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required. DevOps, CI/CD & SDLC Automation *Strong experience with: oAzure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines) oGit (Azure Repos, GitHub, GitLab) oCI/CD pipeline design, build, and automation oCode scanning: *Static analysis *Dynamic analysis *Ability to automate: oBuild processes oRelease pipelines oCode deployments into Azure services Infrastructure as Code (IaC) *Hands on experience with: oARM templates oBicep oTerraform (preferred for future hybrid-cloud expansion) oYAML scripting oPowerShell scripting *Ability to build reusable, repeatable IaC templates for dev/test/prod environments Azure Infrastructure & PaaS Services *Strong knowledge of: oVirtual Networks (VNets) oVPN tunnels oNetwork configuration oVirtual Machines (VMs) oAzure App Services / Web Apps oAzure Front Door oLoad Balancers oAzure PaaS components (compute, networking, storage, databases) Security & Architecture *Ability to design secure cloud architectures *Understanding of: oCloud security controls oNetwork segmentation oVPN configuration oScalability and high availability patterns *Ability to translate application requirements into cloud architecture and automation *Skills* azure, Automation, ci/cd *Top Skills Details* azure,Automation,ci/cd *Additional Skills & Qualifications* *Experience with Kubernetes or containerization technologies (nice to have) *Understanding of AWS (nice to have; future hybrid-cloud roadmap) *Experience Level* Expert Level *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, MD. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
