Job Description
Elwyn seeks a Credentialing Coordinator to keep accurate and full program credentialing records on file and follows up on any discrepancies and deficiencies, including but not limited to staff being out of compliance with training requirements or any other requirements as listed by applicable licensing regulations ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains compliance with all applicable licensure, certification and other standards regarding staff credentialing files
- Collaborates with Human Resources and operations management personnel to maintain an up to date directory of personnel working at Elwyn Pennsylvania and Delaware locations
- Tracks staff driver's licenses and physicals and provides monthly compliance reports to management
- Tracks and provides reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to staff credentialing, including but not limited to complete and accurate staff physical examination forms, copies of valid staff driver's licenses and compliance with required trainings requirements
- Completes monthly sanction screening with tasks including but not limited to reviewing and comparing staff names to resolve matches on data points provided working with Human Resources and the employee for any potential exclusion based on interview with the employee
- Provides credentialing documentation to the Office of Licensing personnel during Administrative Reviews to verify compliance with regulations and answer any questions as appropriate
- Makes recommendations to the Director of Quality Improvement for process changes when regulations concerning credentialing change and/or a new regulatory body is added to program oversight, as appropriate
- Regularly solicits and encourages feedback from staff and utilizes feedback to improve processes, as approved by members of the management team to maximize overall efficient and effective operations of the designated programs through activities including but not limited to identification of processes to streamline collection of credentialing information and participates in discussions at team meetings of ways to improve staff training
- Audits all designated credentialing records annually and documents to ensure compliance with regulation and agency policy and procedure
- Submits reminders and works collaboratively with Human Resources, Staff Training and Development, and the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure complete and compliant (up to date) staff credentialing records
- Maintains current state-mandated training and certifications as required by position
- Follows all current policies and procedures of Elwyn Pennsylvania and Delaware locations
- Cooperates with Elwyn Pennsylvania location(s) and the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Elwyn Delaware location(s) and the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), or any other authorized investigating body during an inspection or investigation
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or graduate equivalency diploma (GED); associate's degree in administrative services, human services, or related field preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) years' experience in human services
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills
- Non-profit human service experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little need for direct supervision
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions
- Demonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel,and Outlook; PowerPoint and report-writer experience preferred
- Experience using/knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) / Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred
- Knowledge of staff credentialing regulations preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities
- Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
