You will conduct routine vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, professional communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential community.
  • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders, maintaining professional weapon handling, secure storage, and compliance with all licensing and training requirements.
  • Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per site protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community roadways, common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by assignment.
  • Monitor access control points and respond to gate activity as assigned, verifying authorization, providing directions, and reporting maintenance issues and/or security-related concerns through established communication channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
