Nurse Practitioner Oncology Investigational Therapy Investigational Therapy Full Time 87752BR Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner is assigned to the Department of Developmental Therapeutics and works collaboratively with the supervising physician and administrative supervisor to care for patients receiving investigational therapies for a broad range of solid tumor malignancies. Responsibilities include participation in the clinical trial informed consent process, performance of study-related assessments, and provision of clinical guidance throughout treatment, including management of treatment-related toxicities, oncologic emergencies, symptom management, care coordination, triage support, and other duties as assigned. Department Description The UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center is an accredited National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center. The NCI-Designation recognizes the scientific leadership, resources, and the depth and breadth of the research in basic, clinical and population science. As a Comprehensive Cancer Center, we demonstrate the added depth and breadth of research as well as substantial transdisciplinary research that bridges these scientific areas. The clinical services encompass adult and pediatric tumors across three campuses as well as regional satellite locations. The clinical cancer program is one of the largest clinical services at UCSF Medical Center and encompasses roughly 230 non-physician FTEs, 100+ cost center, and dozens of grant and philanthropic funding sources. At the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center we are truly pioneering care and leaders in all areas of cancer clinical care and research. Required Qualifications Two to three (2-3) years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a medical oncology setting or completion of a one-year comprehensive oncology APP fellowship program Preferred Qualifications
