In this position you will be responsible for providing safe, efficient execution and oversight of Superior Area projects including project coordination, planning, development, and administration. In this multifaceted role, you will be entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities that blend technical coordination, stakeholder engagement, and operational oversight. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage complex processes will be critical to ensuring the smooth functioning of daily activities at the Terminal.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage Capital (CAPEX) and Operating (OPEX) projects within the Superior Area that are not classified as LP Core Projects or Major Projects.

  • Lead the development and execution of SCNs and AFEs from budget proposal through contract administration, construction management, cost control, and reporting.

  • Prepare detailed project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates.

  • Develop project execution plans, specifications, and documentation in alignment with applicable standards and requirements.

  • Specify, procure, and coordinate all required equipment and materials.

  • Oversee contractors, inspectors, and field personnel to ensure safe and effective project execution.

  • Provide timely project reporting, forecasting, and progress updates in accordance with project requirements.

  • Participate in and/or lead design reviews, project planning sessions, work sequencing and alignment meetings.

  • Serve as backup to the Terminal Coordinator, including conducting orientations, managing Safe Work and Work Authorization permitting, and providing facility tours and presentations.

  • Support coordination and review of Ground Disturbance Request (GDR) activities.

  • Assist with Region Management responsibilities, including documentation, permitting, regulatory compliance, and reviewing company standards and procedures.

  • Support Regional teams in identifying and managing risks associated with equipment and facility integrity.

  • Identify opportunities to improve project or operational outcomes and maintain strong awareness of stakeholder interdependencies.

  • Actively participate in Regional safety programs, including safety meetings, terminal audits, and construction site audits.

  • Provide supervision and/or assistance during emergency response activities.

  • Provide 24hour emergency and operations callout support as required.

Who You Are:

Required:

  • University degree or related construction, project management or operational training and/or experience.

  • Typically, 6 or more years of previous related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:
  • An excellent attitude towards and knowledge of corporate safety policies and procedures.

  • Mechanical / electrical aptitude and administrative ability related pipeline experience.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal and computer skills. Maximo knowledge a plus.

  • Proven leadership skills and ability to prioritize heavy workloads.

Working Conditions:

  • Area of responsibility: Superior Area, Midwest Region

  • Mixed office and field environment with potential of travel along pipeline route as needed.

  • Indoor and outdoor work in areas where construction is being conducted.

  • May be required to support work or emergency response activities during off hours.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
