CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our talented Information Technology team. The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment.

In this position you should have the following; excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment. Most important, demonstrate a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

This role is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.

How you'll create opportunities in this Senior Data Engineer role:

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
  • Ensure performance, reliability, security, and compliance in all data engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate across teams to define technical direction and support platform-level decisions.
  • Deliver high-quality, timely releases aligned with business goals, technical standards, and data governance policies.
  • Drive improvements in system reliability, scalability, and maintainability through refactoring and documentation.
  • Mentor and coach team members.
  • Partner with leaders to align priorities, maintain standards, and support team growth.
  • Actively participate in agile processes and recruitment efforts to strengthen the engineering team.

What you will need:

  • 4 years of relevant experience required.
  • Cloud Engineering across Azure or AWS and Databricks experience required.
  • Experience designing and building enterprise data pipelines, databases/data warehouses, and system integrations (APIs, ETL, or middleware).
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Certifications / Licenses

  • None required.
  • One or more of the following preferred:
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
  • AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate
  • Google Certified Professional Data Engineer
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Advanced proficiency in programming, such as Python, R, Scala, Java, , Snowflake, GitHub, and SQL required.
  • Skilled in addressing technical debt, optimizing performance, and producing enterprise-grade code.
