Job Title: Retirement Benefits Specialist Lead

Location: Fully Remote, EST hours

Duration: 7+ months Assignment (Potential to temp to perm or extension)

Shift/Hours: 40hours/week, M to F, 8:30am to 5pm

Summary:

  • U.S. Retirement Benefits Specialist Lead - is responsible for leading or supporting key projects of varying size and scope for the U.S. Retirement Plans, specifically the 401(k). Specialized familiarity with U.S. 401k operational compliance and communications approaches, this role requires tenured U.S. retirement plan subject matter expertise and understanding of ERISA regulations.
  • This role will be responsible for oversight of timelines, stakeholder management while directly executing against project requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • 401(k) investment implementation, operational and communications definition/oversight and direct execution of project requirements.
  • Serves as subject matter expert on retirement plans and administrative procedures and compliance considerations.
  • Ensure retirement plans adhere to all regulatory requirements, including IRS/DOL regulations, ERISA guidelines, and plan provisions.
  • Communicates with or provides direction to vendor and team members to address plan participants inquiries, resolve issues.
  • Experience in Retirement Plan Administration and Compliance.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute against multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to complete task independently with limited oversight.
  • Team Background - The team manages and directly executes against or defines all U.S. Retirement Plans policy, oversight, compliance, and documentation and all operational and communications deliverables.


Scope of Project:

  • US retirement 401K project initiatives including 401K investment change project.
  • Ability to lead highly visible 401k project with direct impact on plan, ability to lead to project end to end. Direct ownership and accountability.


Requirements:

  • Degree/Level of Education: Bachelors preferred.
  • Certifications Required: CEBS asst - certificate employee benefits, CRSP.
  • Years of Overall Experience: 10+ year required.
  • Deliverable, quality of work, ability to execute to initiate against timelines, provide updates.
  • Ideal candidates have background in US retirement plan lead or manager planned sponsor and administrator, 401K, working in a planned sponsors consulting or 3rd party administer capacity.


Must-Have Hard Skills:

  • 10 years of US retirement plan investment operation and communication experience.
  • Prior exp overseeing compliance and 401K plan.
  • Experience leading change management.
  • Prior exp overseeing retirement plans communications.
  • Ability to priority multiple deliverables and adhere to project deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail
