Kingsbury, Inc. was founded in 1912 and is the leader in the design and manufacture of tilt-pad fluid film thrust and journal bearings for all types of rotating machinery, with thousands of installations worldwide. The Company is comprised of a Corporate office (Philadelphia, PA), two (2) manufacturing facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Oshkosh, WI) and two (2) repair and service facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Yuba City, CA) located in the United States. In addition, Kingsbury has one (1) manufacturing facility located in Gottingen Germany.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, post, and review standard journal entries and accruals in accordance with established accounting procedures, utilizing SyteLine and supporting Excel-based schedules.
  • Prepare, maintain, and review monthly and quarterly general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations, including U.S. and German bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timely resolution of reconciling items, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Process, monitor, and reconcile intercompany, inter-site, and joint venture (KingCole) transactions, including identification and resolution of variances.
  • Review daily and weekly operational and financial reports (e.g. Backlog, New Business, TBI) and identify accounting-related action items.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end close activities, including reparation of supporting schedules and analysis.
  • Prepare and submit Sales & Use Tax and other US State filings in a timely manner.
  • Prepares and submits required government census reports.
  • Provide ad-hoc Accounting Support for internal and external audits.
  • May be responsible for training other accounting staff.
  • Exemplify Kingsbury's safety mindset by complying with all safety requirements and acting as a safety ambassador.
  • Attend all company-required trainings and meetings (e.g., safety and department meetings).
  • Oversee and maintain the quality according to Kingsbury Quality Assurance standards across Kingsbury products and processes.

  • special projects, continuous improvement initiatives and all other duties as assigned.

Abilities and Other Skills:

  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing financial data, identifying trends and providing insights based
  • Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills. Experience working in an ERP environment; SyteLine (Infor) preferred.

Required Education and Experience:

Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience required. Experience working within an ERP system in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Credentials are preferred.
