*OUR CLIENT IS UNABLE TO WORK WITH C2C or H1 candidates* Description We have a currrent client that is launching a major multi year ERP transformation to SAP S/4HANA. As part of this initiative, the team is seeking an experienced SAP Report Writer with deep expertise in S/4HANA embedded reporting to help shape the enterprise's reporting strategy during and after the transition. This role is an enterprise-wide reporting generalist, not tied to a single business unit. You'll evaluate current BI delivery processes, determine what reporting should live inside SAP vs. external analytics tools, and build the foundational reporting posture for the future ERP landscape. Design, build, and optimize SAP S/4HANA embedded reports and analytical queries. Expose data elements and create reporting content directly within the S/4HANA environment. Serve as the internal expert on SAP's native reporting capabilities and best practices. Assess current BI delivery solutions, tools, and processes across the enterprise. Recommend whether reporting should reside in the transactional system (S/4HANA) or in external BI platforms. Engage with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable solutions. Support decision-making on out of the box SAP reporting vs. custom development vs. external BI tools. Leverage non-SAP analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, MicroStrategy, SAP BusinessObjects / BOBJ) to complement SAP reporting where appropriate. Provide guidance on how to develop reports in external BI tools when SAP embedded reporting is not the best fit. Help determine where the reporting function will ultimately reside as the ERP program matures. Influence the long-term architecture as reporting becomes increasingly ERP-centric. Additional Skills & Qualifications* Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA embedded reporting (CDS views, analytical queries, in-app reporting). Ability to create, modify, and expose reporting elements directly within SAP. Experience evaluating BI landscapes and recommending reporting architecture. Proficiency with at least one enterprise BI tool (Power BI, MicroStrategy, SAP BusinessObjects, etc.). Ability to communicate reporting concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in large-scale ERP transformation environments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Harrisburg, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
