Position Summary
Quality Management Auditors provide final verification/audits results to the Vegetation Management (VM) Execution Team, and ensure compliance with commitments and procedural requirements. Audits of the VM Execution field work ensure electric system safety and reliability; regulatory compliance with state and federal rules; and achievement of VM internal and external commitments. Identify and provide insight into learning opportunities and corrective actions the VM Execution team can implement, thereby improving quality at the source. Allow the VM Execution Team to further analyze performance at a macro level based on the accuracy and integrity of the inspections performed and the data provided. Provide awareness and report out on key data that can be used for workshops, communications, and educational opportunities. The incumbent may also serve as a subject-matter expert, provide guidance and education, or influence leaders in the industry (PG&E, other utilities, or other decision-makers) on regulatory issues and program strategies. Works with the VM Execution Team counterparts and other PG&E groups to support the monitoring and management of vegetation proximity to PG&E assets, contributing to system reliability and safety objectives.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
CA Minimum: $81,000
CA Mid-Point: $101,000
CA Maximum: $121,000
Job Responsibilities
* Works independently in the field as a quality management auditor to ensure work is completed in a safe, cost-effective, efficient, timely, and productive manner, such as managing time and expenses in the field, to minimize rework and drive quality from an oversight perspective.
* Works with some guidance to complete assignments and solves moderately complex problems.
* Communicates with peers, exchanging ideas or gathering information on the overall program plan and goals within a specific functional area of Quality Management.
* May assist with the onboarding and training of new Quality Management Auditors and/or contractors and sub-contractors, to drive safety and quality, and ensure awareness of PG&E-specific VM quality expectations and administrative controls.
* May audit work performed by Quality Management Auditor Contractors to ensure compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
* Encourages public, contractor, and employee safety on site at all times by promoting positive leadership, positive safety culture, good catches, exhibiting an absolute commitment to safety for self and others, and by ensuring all applicable safety rules, regulations, and standards are followed.
* Maintains constant communication with Quality Management Supervisor and other Quality Management Leadership team members to keep them informed about audit results, work performance, safety topics, or any other issues related to the daily work.
* Partners with leadership across lines of business to support decisions and meet business goals.
* May perform emergency work, for example, for severe storms, wildfires, and power shutoff events.
* Reports out, provides updates and corrective actions, and may hold daily huddles under the Lean Management model.
* Contributes to the implementation and creation of new concepts, processes, and ideas to further Quality Management program advancement.
* May assist with incident investigation as a subject matter expert.
* Completes field Quality Management audits/verifications to ensure quality vegetation management execution.
Qualifications
Minimum:
* Bachelor's degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience
* Valid CA Class C Driver's License or equivalent
* Required to maintain a CA Class C driver's license or equivalent.
* 3+ years of job-related experience
Desired:
* ISA Arborist
* ISA Utility Specialist certification
* ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ)
* CPR / First Aid
* OSHA 30
* Knowledge of Arboriculture and/or utility vegetation management concepts, methods, and techniques.
* Knowledge of forestry and/or utility vegetation management concepts, methods, and techniques.
* Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills, diplomacy, and tact.
* Good organizational, time management, prioritization, and planning skills.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.) and GIS applications.
Supplemental Minimum:
