Director of the School of Nursing Touro University of California, in partnership with the national search firm Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of the School of Nursing. Touro University of California seeks a dynamic Director to serve on the leadership team for the College of Health Sciences. The Director provides leadership to develop and implement the School of Nursing and University policies and procedures for the preparation of excellent professional nurses. Grant writing is a key part of this role to help secure funds for nursing research and community programs. As the next Director, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to build upon a decade of growth and innovation, guiding the School into its next phase of development. This role calls for a visionary leader who can elevate the Schools academic profile, strengthen interprofessional collaboration across the University, and champion initiatives that advance health equity and workforce development. The Director will work closely with faculty, staff, and community partners to expand student access, enhance the clinical learning environment, and promote scholarship that addresses the evolving needs of Californias diverse populations. A strong commitment to service, inclusion, and educational excellence will be essential to shaping the next chapter of impact for the School and its graduates. Introduction to Touro University of California About The School of Nursing: Founded in 2014, the mission of the colleges School of Nursing is to prepare professional and advanced practice ready nurses to meet the complex health care needs of local and global communities. Through a strong emphasis on public health, service, and community engagement, the school offers a Masters degree program designed to prepare Associate and Baccalaureate nurses for advanced roles. The program outcomes are shaped on the core competencies for the nationally certified Clinical Nurse Leader role, equipping them with skills in leadership, education, process improvement, and financial stewardship. In addition, the School of Nursing also offers a post-masters Nurse Practitioner (NP) Certification program which prepares students for success in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment. These certificate programs emphasize evidence-based, humanistically driven care and provide students the opportunity to learn and train in rural communities and underserved populations. The program utilizes simulation-based learning to boost practice performance, interprofessional experiences to lay strong management foundations, and individualized student counseling to create a robust growth environment for students.
